The “School of Education of PAFF and UW” starts to recruit students

The School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the University of Warsaw starts to recruit students for the full-time one-year post-graduate studies in the 2016/17 academic year. The course will prepare students to be teachers in two specialties: the Polish language and math. Students of the first edition of the studies will not pay any fee.

Bridge Scholarships for 2016/17 academic year

If you are graduating from high school this year, live in a village or a small town, have performed well at school, and come from a low-income family, then get acquainted with the rules and regulations and apply to the Bridge Scholarships Program. Some 800 scholarships, in a total amount of PLN 5,000 each, paid in 10 monthly installments will be awarded for the 2016/17 academic year. The deadline for applications is August 17.

16th edition of the Kirkland Program completed

The closing ceremony of the 16th Lane Kirkland Scholarships Program took place on 29 June in the Ballroom of the Tyszkiewicz Palace of the University of Warsaw. Diplomas were awarded to 45 scholarship holders who joined the almost 700-strong group of all Kirkland Program alumni to date. Dr Paweł Kowal, former Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Member of the seventh-term European Parliament, participated in the meeting as special guest.

The POLISHOPA international conference on Design Thinking method, consisting in creation of innovative solutions based on understanding recipients’ needs and problems, was held in Bydgoszcz on June 22-25. The conference was organized by SHOPA, UTP University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The Learning Schools Conference held under the "Show me what the success criteria are and I will perform better" slogan took place in Warsaw on June 14, 2016. The conference was accompanied by the Youth Projects Presentation. The event was attended by more than 400 people such as school principals, teachers, students, parents and representatives of organizations and institutions interested or involved in teaching and learning processes.
